The freshwater flounder is a unique and fascinating addition to any aquarium. With its flat, oval-shaped body and mottled brown or gray coloring, it resembles its saltwater counterparts. These fish require a sandy substrate and plenty of hiding places, such as rocks or plants, in their environment. They are known to be peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive fish. Care should be taken to maintain pristine water conditions and provide a varied diet, including frozen or live foods, to ensure their health and longevity.
