The Gold Dust Molly is a color variety of the molly (Poecilia sphenops): gold toward the head and darker toward the tail with fine gold flecks, and every fish's pattern is a little different. Mollies are peaceful, hardy livebearers that grow to about 3 to 4 inches, graze on algae, and do best in harder, alkaline water.
